You are so right. Wished Christians would look at Jesus as all loving and no hate. Jesus is God and we'll all be judged one day no matter who we are. So we shouldn't be people putting words in Jesus's mouth like Jesus says you're going to hell because Jesus never said things like that. He always talked about love and loving others. It is so so awesome you holding up a sign with such truth and gets people thinking instead of saying just another protestor's sign, because when you use the word Jesus or God people's attention gets drawn. I am a Gay married Christian man going to a loving church of my husband and I we are like the only gay couple and we are treated equally and have great friends and are not looked upon as ohh no two gay men better stay away from them. It was total opposite they were drawn into wanting to build relationship with us get to know us and accept us as who we are not two gay married men. I wished America and the world as a whole could come to acceptacnce of Gays and Lesbians getting same rights as anyone else. Keep up the good work of making your voice be heard. God Bless You!!
FACES OF US is a photo campaign created with the purpose of bringing the fight for LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) rights to the National spotlight.
The campaign is still small, but growing, and shows the faces and identities of members of the LGBT community and allies who care about these issues. The fight will not be won unless every legislator in the United States sees that these are their constituents and that the LGBT community deserves FULL EQUAL RIGHTS under the law. The American queer community will not be recognized as first class citizens until every single person in the United States realizes that these people are their neighbors or their friends, or even part of their family. Somebody who is a member of the LGBT community, or any human being for that matter, should not have to look beyond the place that they consider home in order to find equal rights.
Have someone take a picture of you holding up a sign with a message to your legislators about your identity and how you feel about LGBT rights. Be creative... it's your identity, you get to say whatever YOU want about it. Please refrain from including messages of hate directed at other groups. Submit your photo to thefacesofus@gmail.com. Be sure to include your name, city, and state.
EVERYBODY IS ENCOURAGED TO PARTICIPATE! You do not have to be either L, G, B, or T to partake.
